Most of the CRSs cover a booking range of 350 days. It might happen that the actually required inbound flight cannot be booked as the flight does not appear in the system yet.
For such situations please proceed as follows: - Make a booking of the last inbound flight available in the system
- Add an OSI-element: FIRST REBOOKING TO DDMMM (return date) FOC DUE TO BKG BEYOND SYS RANGE (add the required date for the inbound flight to the OSI-element.
If this information is entered in the PNR the passenger may rebook the inbound flight with no extra cost to the date mentioned in the OSI-element, if space available in the applicable booking class. Please advise the customer to change the booking as early as possible.
This procedure is valid for longhaul flights only. |
