Ability to book through your GDS
You can book groups of up to 20 passengers on all British Airways operated flights and franchise carrier flights directly through your GDS on certain classes provided you adhere to all Ticketing Fare Rules and Conditions and payment.
This development has been introduced to allow you to make use of our European low fare structure for some of our main group products.
Routes
All flights operated by British Airways and Franchisees (excludes code-share flights not operated by British Airways)
Applicable Fare Classes
Shorthaul Point to Point - O Q N V L M K H B 6th Freedom Longhaul/Shorthaul – Q N S V L M K H B
You can use any of the semi-flex published fare types in the above classes providing that all fares conditions are considered.
Ticketing Deadline
As per the applicable fare rule or within 72 hours, whichever is more restrictive. All bookings, which do not meet the deadline, will be cancelled.
Fares available under the new proposition include Euro Traveller classes (O, Q, N, V, L, M, K, H, B) and World Traveller classes (Q, N, S, V, L, M, K, H, B). Please ensure that the required numbers of seats are available in the applicable fare classes when making bookings.
To increase the flexibility of the product we also allow these groups to be made up of a mixture of these classes to ensure your customer gets the lowest average rate available. (Separate PNRs will have to be made for each class difference per sector)
The bookings should be made through your GDS as multiple PNRs of up to 9, e.g. for a booking of 18 passengers, split the booking into 2 PNRs of 9. Currently the booking systems do not allow up to 20 on a single PNR but system changes are being carried out and we will notify you when they have been made. |
